you don't see much of that happening between barack obama and john boehner or any of the democrats and republicans. so paul ryan was very mischievously saying if bill clinton was there, we would be putting together deals. there was an intriguing answer came back. you start to compare like with like. do you really believe after eight years of george bush's presidency the american people were better off than they were at the end of bill clinton's, because by any economic yardstick, the truthful answer is no, they weren't, and he sort of stumbled over it and didn't really give a firm answer, but certainly didn't deny you could paint that picture. when it came to the claim about unemployment, back to carter, what he didn't say, unemployment when george bush left the presidency was the same as it had been under carter, 7.8. not much difference there. i think the election will come down to who you believe most. do you think barack obama improved albeit in a small way the fortune of the american people or do you think paul ryan and mitt romney can successfully argue in four years they should
